The Snow Shovelers Club

I was gonna dig up vyn's (or somebodies) "Fuck, I'm Old" Topic but I'm too damn lazy to use the search engine today.

This topic is for everybody who has to shovel snow. Now that we're all hitting the Big 4-0 (or close to, anyway) its an even bigger pain in the backside than it used to be. And I literally mean the back side. My back is screaming at me to knock it the fuck off. I had to stop halfway today and go in and recuperate for an hour before heading back out to finish. And by the end, lifting the shovel while it was empty wasn't fun.

Ten years ago this shit didn't bother me. Commence bitching.

It's been a lot more wintery here this year than it was the last 2 or 3. Shoveling was getting really old a couple of weeks ago, but there hasn't been much since. I might have to do it tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes. I have taken that break before though, part way done. Yikes.

I haven't had to shovel snow in 9+ years. I actually kind of miss it. And yes, 40 is creeping up on me in a couple months.

i've always hated shoveling. it sucks at any age.

we've had some amount of snow on the ground each week since christmas, with a large accumulation (2+ ft.) the first week of february.
