Where the Wild Things Are

This was one of my favorite books as a kid and I was always curious when they'd make a big-screen adaptation of it. So this has been in production for the past couple of years and I was worried that they'd dumb it down and make it incredibly stupid to appeal to kids with lame jokes like "The Grinch" or "The Cat in the Hat". After seeing this trailer, though, I can honestly say I'm not worried anymore.

This movie looks absolutely fantastic!

It looks beautiful. I'd only possibly be a little concerned about the story, since the book had practically none, when you get down to it. The trailer looks like they at least went for something that wasn't overly corny, at least.
And fucking Tony Soprano is the main monster. Bitchin'!

I just can't wait until the movie hits DVD and all the Wild Thing Tony Soprano redubs start flooding YouTube.

Looks like this movie could be really good.... or really bad.

I was going to post about this but kept forgetting.
I haven't read the book in at least 20 years, so I don't remember too much of it.
It looks great and with Spike Jonze directing it should be pretty good.

haven't read all of the book but know that the premise is pretty universal. The trailer looks ok. heartwarming life affirming sort of stuff.
I'll give it a watch once it's hit torrent sites and if I like it I'll buy the DVD.

the legend of sleepy hollow was a short story and they made a damn good flick out of it. anything can be expanded upon by a talented writer.

Sleepy Hollow is out of the norm for incredibly short stories made into movies, though.
