Light Week.

Exiles 79. haven't read it.

Fantastic Four 533, 534, 535. haven't read 'em.

New X-Men 25. haven't read it, but the blurb on the cover speaks of a shocking last page, virtually guaranteeing my flipping to the last page first. Nimrod's back. Cool. I want a Marvel Legend of Nimrod.

Transformers 4. The Bumblebee cover. haven't read it.

Uncanny X-men 472. haven't read it. but Claremont wrote it, so it can't be great. flipped through it. seems like hes rushing all his storylines to a close. bring on the Bru.

Wow, has this place dried up or what? Here's what O got this last Wednesday,

N'Avengers 18. Oh so fucking cool. Why can't they clone Bendis and make this a weekly book? Seriously.

Captain America 17. Rollicking Captainy goodness with some great art. And Bru does the writing thingie really well. Second only to BMB.

Daredevil 84. Ho ho HO!! A last page to die for! Bru's crisp storytelling meshes in perfectly with what Bendis was doing before. I was gonna drop this when BMB did but now I'm REALLY glad I didn't.

Justice 5. The bi-monthly thing makes it alittle jarring, trying to remember what happened two months ago. But every issue is chock-a-block full of good readins and purty pittures. i will definitely sit down with this again after the whole thing is finished.

Ms. Marvel 2. So I give any series two issues to grab a hold of me. Silver Surfer didn't do it. Black Panther didn't do it. Ms Marvel didn't do it. Buh-bye.

Squadron Supreme 2. And this one is barely holding on. Supreme Power was very good at turning the whole super power thing on its ear. This book just seems...routine.

Wolverine: Origins 1. Y'know. Nothing steams my cleveland faster than seeing that pudgy red headed walrus Dum Dum Dugan. The man is a WWII veteran which would put him in his fucking 80's. And once he's soiled a book I can't remember anything else about it. I got the Turner cover.

X-Men 185. The ending with the giant fucking robots makes me remember why I want to drop this title every single month. Dear Marvel, please pick your X-franchise up out of the dirty, filthy pigshit pile you keep dragging it through and give it some life. X-Men and Uncanny both need swift kicks in the pants.

Touche dirt merchants. : ) heres what I snagged last week of April.

Amazing Spidey 531. Road to Civil War. Spidey busts loose on Titanium Man and stops to read the Lincoln Memorial mid fight. Classy. JMS isn't all suck, just partly suck.

N'Avengers Annual 1. The Return of Yelena, AKA Black Widow II AKA The new Super Adaptoid. "You're still fat." tee hee, priceless.

Batman 652. One Year Later continues. More second rate bat villains bite it. Fairly intriguing story.

Checkmate 1. Sorry, OMAC was so cool I had to get this. But it's still a poor man's SHIELD. Its got one more issue to pique my interest.

Fantastic Four537. Road to Civil War. Conclusion to the Thor's Hammer storyline. I don't want to give anything away but Doom does NOT become the new Thor...

Hulk 94. planet Hulk continues. The best part is the ending. Gladitorial Silver Surfer? Hell yeah!

IC Special Villains United 1. Leading directly up to IC #7 is the largest throwdown between heroes and villains EVER in the streets of Metropolis. Holy Kitty Cats!

Wolverine 41. Very VERY cool stand alone story by Stuart Moore and moody art by C.P. Smith. Seriously, this is one of those books that people will remember years from now. "Remember that cool Wolverine story with the baby....?"

Astonishing X-Men 14. The usual humor ( Logan's reaction to Kitty and Pete? Perfect. "'bout time." But this issue is AWESOME because of the total fucking mind rape Emma gives Scotty Summers. Holy shit, what a bitch. These guys better sign on for a third year.

Okay, EP. I saw the second-to-latest Batman at Waldenbooks on the way home, and I want to get back into this comic. I was a bit shocked to see Ventriloquist and Firefly offed in one book (pretty saddened over the Ventriloquist--he's a very unique character). So, spoil me: what's the body count from Harvey's little rampage look like right now?

So far it's KGBeast, Magpie, Ventriloquist, and Firefly (?) I think...This is pretty good, but nowhere near as exciting as the prospect of getting Grant Morrison on the monthly Batman title in a few months!! Issue 655 is previewed in the newest Wizard and HOLY FUCKBALLS!!! I will say no more. Go check it out!

I thought KGBeast was already dead...? Wasn't he offed in the first storyline, and then the NKVDemon took over. Or was there a second KGBeast? Now that I think about it, I believe Bane was in prison with a KGBeast, so there must've been a second.

Magpie I figured was dead from a toe fungus or something. No loss at all there. And Firefly was just an arsonist in goofy armor.

Ventriloquist is a real loss, though, more as a unique villain than a character. He was truly an inspired creation, one who could be mentioned in the same sentence as folks like Joker, Two-Face, or Bane. A moment of silence is in order.

Well I blew the wad today and got all my backed-up comics. There were lots, so either scroll down or put on your glasses:

Moon Knight 2
Uncanny 472
New Avengers 18
Astonishing 14
ASM 531
FF 534
New Avengers Annual 1
Hulk 94
Cap 16
Spider-Woman Origin 5
Squadron Supreme 2
FN Spidey 7
Sensational Spidey 24, 25
198 4
Ms. Marvel 2
--------------------------------------

Anyone care to guess at how much money 16 new comics costs you in Canada? If you guessed $75, you'd be right. Ugly.

After missing last week, I stopped today and picked up:

Punisher #33 - haven't read yet, but I know it's awesome.

Astonishing X-Men #14 - Like it was already said, the page with Logan, Peter and Kitty was hilarious.

Civil War #1 - Not yet read.

Marvel Zombies #2 - All I need now is #3.

SW: KOTOR #4 - After the first 3 issues, I'm almost dreading reading this because it's been pretty damn boring, but I'll finish this story at least.

Serenity: Those Left Behind TPB - Now that I'm a Firefly fan, I ordered this and can't wait to read it.

Holy Crap. Here's what I got last week.

Civil War 1. A good beginning. Captain America using a fighter jet as a surfboard is VERY cool.

Detective Comics 819. The covers to this series are VERY cool. Orca just bought it, but who gave a rat's ass about her?

Exiles 80. Well, fuck. Morph was my fave character. That's like the straw on the Camel's bakc. And knowing Claremont is taking over soon just makes me want to give up. I guess I'll stick around until they kill Blink off. She's the only original member left...

G.I.Joe 25 cent Special. meh. Not much happening. Spirit might get shot.

Infinite Crisis 7. A rip roaring ending! Lots of death! Too much to talk about here. i'll leave it for the DC section.

Supergirl 6. One year Later. Benes drawing Supergirl? I'm so there. Especially when she's topless and getting a tatoo put between her shoulder blades. Rrrrroooooowl! The City of Kandor crap I could care less about.

Punisher 33. Wow. That art went downhill on this one in a big way. It always seems like halfway through a story arc, the art gets rushed and crappy looking as deadlines loom closer, faster. Other than that, the drag out, knockdown fight with Barracuda was wicked. "Oh it's on muthafucka!"

Teen Titans 35. I think Tim Drake might be gay. because a hot, very athletic, one-eyed, horny, naked chick jumped him in his own bed with the sole intent of making the sweet love to him, and he turned her down so he could go into the basement and try to resurrect his dead best friend. So...gay..I'm thinking. Oh, and the Fearsome Five suck ass as villains. Now that I think about it, except for Deathstroke and Wildebeest ( or the Wildebeest society as it turned out) ALL the Teen Titans villains suck ass. Get some gooder villains you guys. Except when one of your own turns evil (see Jericho, Terra etc) then your villains ROCK!

You ever find it odd that Larry Hama took over a Batman book, and all we got out of it was a craptastic villain in Orca?

Makes me wonder if his godhood only works on GIJoe and Wolverine.

Apparently somebody agreed with you because they upped and offed that fat bitch. Across America nary a tear was shed.

Here's what I got this week.

52. I actually winced picking this up knowing what I was getting into. I know I'm not REQUIRED to buy every issue, but well, I'm going to buy every issue.

Annihilation Prologue. Heh. This was marked down already so I figured what the hey. I'm not sure I can invest in four ongoing limited series and another wrap up series on top of it. Unless they are in the half off bins. then I'm there.

GI Joe 11. I hate reading story arcs waiting for the next stroy arc to begin. It feels like a waste of my $3. I'm more excited about Larry Hama writing the GIJoe Declassified sereis in a couple months. Supah sweet!

New X-Men 26. Gaah! It's a sickness! marvel please cancel this book so I can stop buying it! Or at least put it on a heavy week where I can justify not spending the extra three bucks on a mediocre book!!! PLEASE!!

X-Men Deadly Genesis 6. Holy Crapola! What an excellent book. Scottie telling that douche bag Charles Xavier off at the end? Wicked awesome. Chuck is a serious fucktard. I am soooo glad Brubaker is taking over Uncanny in a couple months!! And speaking of...

Uncanny X-Men 473. Claremont wrote some stuff and I got tired after the first sentence so i fell asleep because it sucks.
