Thanks Nark! I really dislike double dipping on Blu...to this point the only exception was the Star Wars set but for that price, it was worth the upgrade.

I would also double dip on Battle for Endor if Disney takes it out of the vault. But I wouldn't double dip on Caravan of Courage.

My In-laws are visiting over Thanksgiving. My wife and mother in law already were planning on going to walmart later tonight around 6 PM. Around 2 PM they figured out they forgot to buy the stuff for the green bean casserole and needed to go to walmart to get it. They got back and said there were already people in line around all of the black Friday specials and had tons of stuff in their carts. This may have changed their plan on going later tonight.

What a way to spend Thanksgiving. Standing in line at Walmart for over 4 hours.

There've been idiots in line at Best Buy for over a week. Figure in the time they're wasting, and there's no fucking way anything's on sale enough to make up for it.

I saw nothing. Okay, I take that back. Target had a few items, but they had them online, too, and I just ordered them. I figure I'll stop by one later tomorrow and see if there are any movies or anything.

The local news channel just did a story about people waiting in line and there were people in front of Best Buy since Monday. The one idiot they interviewed said he was in line to take advantage of all the great deals. Exactly what "deals" he didn't say. How much are they going to spend if they are sitting out there for 4 days?

After looking at all of the ads, I didn't see any deals that would get me to a store. It seemed like the online deals were better.

So Amazon is going to have a sale on the 15th to celebrate their anniversary and claim it will be better than Black Friday, but it is only for Prime members.

Target started advertising their "Black Friday In July" sale.

Now Walmart is going after Amazon saying they will have a bigger sale and it will last 90 days.

We'll see how good these deals really are. I'm fine with all this unless they start putting out Christmas decorations.

I am so sick of Amazon badgering me to become a Prime subscriber with every visit to the website, every purchase, every 'deal of the day' e-mail and so on and so forth. Now they're advertising this Prime sale thing on TV and it's in every ad break. UGH! if I didn't prefer shopping for certain things on Amazon to fleabay I'd boycott the fuckers forever.

i got most of my deals before BF - $75 off iPad Air 2 (only $25 less than the best price), $120 off Microsoft Surface 3, and $150 off Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (64Gb). if you hadn't guessed, it's the tablet christmas in the vynsane household.

i ended up pulling the trigger on Disney Infinity 3.0 starter pack at bestbuy (online) for $31.99 (with Gamer's Club Unlocked). i was going to just download the game for $20 but that + the Anakin/Ahsoka playset (that comes with the starter) would be $55 full price, and i haven't seen any good deals on playsets recently, so i will now have three DI bases  but i guess at least that means i have backups in case of hardware failure.

I got 2 6" Emperors for $10 each at Walmart, going to see if I can ebay flip them & double my money. Yes, it's scummy, but fuck it.

We also did some online shopping at various places offering percentages off & free shipping - I think we pretty much have the kids' Christmas covered at this point which is a relief.

Mostly movies again this year, all Blu-Ray.
It felt like there was a lot I would have liked to watch, but wouldn't pay that much to buy.
Some I've wanted for a little while and some I took a chance on because it was cheaper than a movie ticket.

Batman & Harley Quinn $10 - TAS style with Conroy? Yes, please.

Get Out $9 - Better be as good as people say.

The Great Wall $5 - Matt Damon is the white savior the Chinese people. Actually picked it up Tues or Wed.

Hell or High Water $6 - Heard great things.

The House $9 - Accidentally bought it. Seriously. I Picked it up to look at, got distracted, and forgot I had it in my hand and checked out. It's Will Ferrell, so it's cool.

Kong: Skull Island $9 - Worth $9, not much more.

The Legend of Tarzan $6 - Looks like an Alien remake, but it has a good cast, so I took a chance.

Life $6 - Also, good cast, so I took a chance.

Mad Max: Fury Road - Black and Chrome $6 - Curious about the Black & Chrome (aka Black & White) edition.

Moonlight $6 - Also, better be as good as they say.

Slap Shot $6 - Upgraded my DVD.

Suicide Squad $6 - Not worth a penny more. Also, completist mentality.

The Walking Dead Season 5 $10 - Still need season 6 to be up to date.

Also picked up:

A newer season of NCIS for mom for $10

A Josh Groban Christmas cd for the girlfriend.

Stopped by Hot Topic and grabbed myself the exclusive gold Artoo Pop for $20.

A couple of cheap Christmas cds.

An Amazon Echo Dot for both me and mom. I'll get mine ready to go, so I can at least some knowledge about it and help her over the phone.

I just looked at my last post from 2 years ago - I never did flip those Emperors... in fact Chux just got one of them in the mail about a week ago.

This year I got Christmas gifts - sweatpants & a hoodie for my kids & nephew. Going back to the same store for a sweater for the boss (Jodi) later today - all these things 40 percent off the insane regular Roots prices so I'm very happy about that.

And because I'm selfish & needed something for myself, I also hit up LCS A & almost completed my Thor series since it relaunched after the hiatus (before SIEGE). 30-something issues all for 50 percent off.

I also bought 2 new winter tires but there were no deals on those bitches. :frus:
