I remember that Elmer Fudd cartoon.
According to the 80s tv show opening, Buck Rogers left earth in 1987. We were much more optimistic about our space program in 1979.

I heard that they announced remakes of Carrie and Evil Dead at Comic Con. Bruce Campbell is the executive producer for Evil Dead.

Speaking of unnecessary sequels....A Christmas Story 2 comes out next next week. They are skipping the theaters and going straight to home video.

Someone (I think DB, actually) posted the trailer to FB.
Normally, I'd send five bucks to Daniel Stern, because he clearly needs the money. But, in this case, I think he needs to be tried for crimes against humanity instead.

Is it a reboot, or a rollback? I doubt Hollywood would like the word, but I'm using "rollback" to mean "a reboot from a reboot, back to the previous continuity." Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a rollback. Playing Conan as an old man in a rollback might make sense. Not saying it won't suck, though.
Hollywood and the media really overuse "reboot." I saw tons of articles describing Pirates 4 as a "reboot," since it didn't have Bloom and Knightley, never mind it picks right up from the end of Pirates 3.

I was wondering if maybe he'll be playing the old Conan and somebody else will be playing the younger version in a flashback/forward style narrative.
In the original stories, Conan lived to a ripe old age, so I don't have a problem with Ahnuld playing an older King Conan.
I didn't see the Jason Momoa reboot from a few years ago. Did it suck?

So it really isn't a remake, but doesn't that new Tom Cruise movie look like one of the crappy action flicks from the 90s? Complete with cheesy tough guy dialog.
