The "Merry Christmas" line in the last panel had its redeeming qualities though.... but yeah, I'm just getting more and more pissed off. Remember how awesome it was when Kitty Pryde was getting through to Wolverine, almost like he was hesitantly becoming more human and involved in the team? I know, it was YEARS ago.... but that element could still be there if they wanted it to be.

I like Jeph Loeb, and the covers that aren't Liefelds are pretty cool. The first one by Michael Turner was nice. And the proceeds go towards Jeph's dead kid's trust fund or whatever. And finally, I just found all the Heroes Reborn comics on the cheap a few months ago, so I'm an Onslaught kick.
Yeah, Rob still deserves it in the nuts.

EP - just an observation, but DAMN MAN - you're buying a shitload of books.
So far it's just Onslaught chasing little Franklin. I read it as quickly as possible to avoid the art.
Yeah, that's a shit load alright. I don't normally get that many. Alot of them are Limited Series and a bunch of it is just delays in certain books have made tham all come out at the same time. usually I get between 5-10 titles a week. This one just got out of hand.

Good stuff - I was secretly thinking that you might get pissed off about spending so much money again and drop the habit. That's what caused me to quit the first time... but somehow I've managed to keep my purchasing in check these past 11 years.
Damn, has it been that long this time?
Fuck, I love comics.

Punisher #42 - Conclusion to "Man of Stone." Nice ending to tie up several continuing arcs, some of which have been going since issue #1.
Criminal #3 - More of the great crime noir from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.
Even after a few appearances in The Punisher, I'm still a bit surprised to see boobies in a comic, especially in comics published by Marvel (well, their imprints anyway).
Civil War: Frontline #9 - Not even sure if I finished #8 yet...
The Spirit #1 - After reading a great review or two I picked this up... unfortunately. Bland and boring and seems like it's trying for a Batman: The Animated Series type of thing (and fails).

Civil War got nearly all my comic money this week:
Avengers
Iron Man
Illuminati (1 of 5)
Iron Man/Captain America
Whatever that issue where they meet with Kingpin is called....
Friendly Nbrhd 15
Sensational 33
FF somethingorother
CW Frontline 9
And I think that's it.
Wasn't fucking Civil War supposed to be a summer event?

Balls, I'm so far behind I can't even remember what I've read and what was good. I marathoned through over fifty books last Thursday and Friday. I'm going to give one sentence comments about everything from my list a few weeks ago. And if that triggers anything I will go into detail later.
Secret Six. Final Issue of the limited series. Hohum.
Teen Titans. The secret origin of Devil Boy. Hohum.
Civil War Frontline 9 and 10. Speedball becomes Penance. Tony Stark is a war profiteer. Better than average thanks to the Penance story.
War Crimes. Kingpin gets Underworld to off Hammerhead. no shit! Pretty cool. They also kill shitty Spidey villain Slyde as a bonus. Sweet!
Casualties of War. Cap and IM meet up to discuss things. Hohum attempt to get your Civil War tie in dollar. Cool covers, though.
Fantastic Four. Thing in France. Funny, but stupid considering everything going on in CW.
Iron Man. Damn good issue covering alot of "inner turmoil" for alot of the main players in CW. And the ending is shocking and heartbreaking.
New Avengers. Uhhhh...hawkeye and Scarlet Witch have been getting it on for the last six months? WTF?
Illuminati. Jim Cheung does good art. Story has potential. All the members of the Illuminati are pompous douches though.
Punisher. Good solid conclusion to the Man of Stone arc.
Sensational Spidey. Must've been hohum because i can't remember it.
Ultimate Spidey. Bendis and Bagley break Lee and Kirby's record. Nick Fury yells alot. Peter yells alot.
Transformers: Escalation. Meh. Cool, but not spectacular. These read better as trades.
Transformers Spotlight: Sixshot. Damn. He was always my Decepticon Leader since I never had Megatron or Galvatron or Shockwave. And this book lives up to my hype. Sixshot kicks ass.
Batman. Skipped it. Come back Grant Morrison!
Flash. Bart moves to Los Angeles.
Justice. Holy balls this book is awesome. The series started slow, but its ramped up to uber cool!
Justice League of America. Read this book. It's awesome!
Annihilation. Second to last issue. This is the Civil War for the rest of the Marvel universe. Too bad its getting overshadowed by that other crap mega event.
Astonishing X-Men. Referring to Beast as Cookie Monster. Awesome. I will be sad when this book changes hands.
Black Panther. This book keeps getting better and better. See? There ARE good CW tie ins...
Daredevil. Good solid continuation of the story. Nothing spectacular about it by itself, but Bru and Lark continue to rule.
Exiles. Sorta let down by this one lately. Ever since they figured out why they are jumping around. maybe they should go back to that motif.
Iron Fist. Well, this book is great! Check it out.
Onslaught Reborn. I hate Rob Liefeld.
Ultimate Power. The story from Squadron Supremes POV. The hell you say, I like Greg Land's art.
What If...? Both of these books were great. Much better than last years offerings.
Winter Soldier. This was really good. Especially the meeting between the sidekick of yesterday, Bucky and the sidekicks of tomorrow, the Young Avengers. Also touching scene at Nomad's grave.
Wolverine: Origins. Not bad, not bad. Way continues to impress, but Dillon's art is gettng on my nerves.
X-Men. Humberto Ramos draws X-Men. I hate Ramos, but here I can stomach him. 200th issue is close!!
Secret Six. Final Issue of the limited series. Hohum.
Teen Titans. The secret origin of Devil Boy. Hohum.
Civil War Frontline 9 and 10. Speedball becomes Penance. Tony Stark is a war profiteer. Better than average thanks to the Penance story.
