Once upon a time in Hollywood - I liked it. Not much in the way of Tarantino-esque violence.... until very late in the movie.
Goodfellas. Still good, fellas. Starting Casino tonight but I won't get through very much of it. Once that's done I'll get on with The Irishman.

6 Underground. A straight to Netflix movie starring Ryan Reynolds directed by Michael Bay?? My morbid curiosity got the best of me. The opening of the film is ridiculously amped up car chase that lasts 20 minutes and is extremely violent.

El Dorado, McLintock! and The Shootist. If there is a John Wayne movie on TV, I tend to watch it.

Finished Casino & Season 1 of Watchmen. Jodi & I have started re-watching the Dr Who Christmas specials now that I'm home for a couple of weeks, and I'm guessing that will occupy most of my non-ROS time. 2 more days & change.

Conan the Barbarian. The 2011 remake. I had totally forgotten Jason Momoa played the new version.
Legend. Tom Hardy plays both Reggie and Ron Kray, the mobster twins who ruled London in the 60s. Like every mobster movie, they have a sweet gig going, then do something incredibly stupid and fuck everything up.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Rewatched the classic on Disney+. When it first came out, I was impressed at the merging of live action and animation, but as I get older, I thoroughly enjoy the noir-style storyline and post-war setting.

1917. I was only mildly interested in this movie until I read it’s one continuous shot for the entire film. It was pretty good, but in my head, I was trying to draw a map of which direction they were moving and how long they were walking because it doesn’t feel like they cross that much ground.
It would be interesting during a rewatch to do a step count and calculate how far from the first shot to the last shot they walk/drive/go over waterfalls, taking into account the times they stop and talk, or backtrack, etc.

Now I'm more intrigued about 1917 than I was already. I'll try to get out to see it in the theatre.

New on Hulu;
The Fugitive. One of the best film adaptations of an old TV series ever.
Vacation. Okay, I hadn’t watched this is in a very long time, but this movie isn’t funny. I didn’t laugh. I don’t chuckle. I barely managed a smirk at very few moments in the movie. I used to think it was funny. What happened?
European Vacation. I didn’t know Amy Heckerling had directed this. This was a very generic sequel, but at least I chuckled a couple times thanks to some supporting character cameos from people like Eric Idle, Mel Smith and a young Robbie Coltrane.

Agree with you that Vacation doesn't hold up well. European Vacation isn't much better. I won't even watch them anymore.
Watched Thor Ragnarok for the first time. I think my favorite part was when they played the Immigrant Song during the battle scene.

That one gets better for me the more I watch it. I think I've been through it 3 or 4 times & I still laugh.

Re: What have you watched lately?
There are tons of little moments in Ragnarok that keep it fresh.
“I’m not a witch.” “Then why do you dress like one?”
“I have been falling for THIRTY MINUTES!”
“Trash.” “What? No that doesn’t start with B” “Booze hag.”
“Piss off, Ghost!”
“Let’s do get help!”
Just off the top of my head.

Re: What have you watched lately?
There's only one thing I'd change about Ragnarok, and it's related to the marketing, not the movie.
I would've kept Hulk completely secret. Sure, fanboys would figure it out from Sakaar, but can you imagine the collective shock when Hulk is revealed in the arena?

Re: What have you watched lately?
The same with Spidey in Civil War. They would’ve already been flipping out about BP, so dropping Spidey on them would’ve been fucking insanity.
