Combining 80's TV shows

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Combining 80's TV shows

Post by Rollo Tomassi »

...into the greatest AWESOME SHOW ever.

Take Automan (the Desi Arnaz Jr show about the computer programmer who makes an A.I. hologram superhero played by Chuck Wagner, who has toiled in Daytime Soaps for the last thirty years. Winner!)

Mix generously with Manimal (the Simon McCorkindale show about a guy that can transform into ANY animal but plays it safe by either being a black panther, or a hawk. Unless he's fucking some chick, then he turns into a...kitten?!? You sick fuck...)

What do you got?

AUTOMANIMAL

Toss in a little Street Hawk (Automanimal drives a hi-tech motorcycle), and BANG you got yourself a winner!

Simon, Hardcastle, Simon, and McCormick. Sounds like a law firm right?

Wrong!

It's an ASS-KICKING firm of P.I.s that all cram into a super flashy red racecar and KICK ASS!

Two of the PIs are brothers! One guy is a young punk! And the other guy is a retired judge who KICKS ASS!

I know, I know. The whole thing sounds like it KICKS ASS.

Diff'rent Cosby.

take one middle class black family and throw in a couple of adopted white trash kids for hilarious shenanigans with a fudgey social message tucked in there somewhere behind the neuveau riche decor and vaguely racist dialogue. what could be more inspirational in our blacktastic modern age?
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

The Alf-Team

One fuzzy, wise-cracking alien joins a team of former Vietnam veterans now working as mercenaries for hire. Thousands of bullets are fired yet not a single person ever gets shot.

Cheers Manhattan - Sam opens a new bar on the East Side of Manhattan not far from some deluxe apartments. His best customer is a fellow by the name of George Jefferson.

Knight Court: Michael Knight, a man who does not exist, wages a lone war against crime in... a Manhattan night court, surrounded by the likes of Dan Fielding and Bull Shannon?

Punky Brewster: It doesn't sound like a combo, but it's a combo of the live-action and the cartoon. In the first episode, her dad (or adopted dad, or whoever the fuck that was) has a heart attack and dies when a hideous flying creature pops in from thin air and magically makes a sandwich.

Just had to mention Rollo (and if this wasn't the inspiration I would be kinda surprised)

Manimal and Automan were shot on the same sets in some cases simultaneously, there is supposedly one scene where there is an interior being shot for one show and an exterior for the other where elements of either show appear in the other (WHEW sorry but you should get my drift)

This still cracks me up.
It just occurred to me that this entire forum is a decade long repository of the greatest ideas of all time. We should be making money off all this inanity.

Jack, Laverne and Shirley. Mr. Furley finally kicks Jack Tripper out of Janet and Chrissy's apartment. He moves in with Laverne and Shirley, who actually did move from Milwaukee to California in their series.

The spin off to that will be Four's Company. Lenny and Squiggy move into the same apartment complex as Janet and Chrissy.

Can't come up with a clever name for this one, but it mixes Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Tatu starts every show by yelling "De Boat! De Boat!"

Eight is Enough plus Just the Ten of Us equals
Just the Eighteen of Us is Enough.

This version has Kate Gosling and Octomom in a lesbian relationship, and their little chimps are crawling everywhere.

Dwayne, Raj, Dee, and Rerun are an elite police unit sent in when no one else can get the job done.

Tune in for tonight's episode of S.W.A.T.s Happenin'...
