That's too bad. That guy sounds like a dick.

On another note, did the BOGO50% sale apply to everything - er, I mean, half of everything? I thought the sale a few weeks ago only worked for getting one item half off, with everything else still at full price (at least it seemed that way online). I just looked online, and it says "Maximum 1 discount per order." I'm gonna hit TRU a few times this week, so I was just wondering if it worked in your favor.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

It's as many as you get, though it'll be the cheapest half of your toys for half off (if that makes sense).

Got home, and went to open the Cobra HISS, and more than half the parts are missing. I noticed then that there were two pieces of tape on one side. What the fuck? The thing has been out for like a fucking week, and some asshole is stealing parts? All the guns, rockets, and even the insides of the chassis were gone. (What the hell would they use that for? It won't work with any other Joe vehicle!) Sad thing is, I'd noticed the figure in one of their three Snow CATs wasn't strapped in with the twist ties, and passed on that. My Snow CAT is all there; I'm just afraid I'll have to take it back, too, because I ain't paying TRU prices for these fucking things.

I've got to drive 30 fucking minutes tomorrow morning to TRU, because only one store in the area had any of these, and I want to get a tampered-with package back ASAP. Didn't see it until five minutes before they close. God damn.

Between the super-ass scalper and some dickweed fucking with toys that are barely out, I'm thinking I'm not going to that TRU again anytime soon.

But Dengar rocks my fucking socks off.

I've seen a couple things like that recently. A few months back, I pointed out to a TRU employee that someone replaced the R2D2 from a battlepack with a droid made out of random R2 build a droid parts. Then just last week, one Target that the Deluxe Wet Suit figure replaced with some Navy Seal figure from another line. Another Target had the movie snowmobile where someone replaced the figure with one from another line.

With the clearance sale going on at Target, I would have considered getting one of the ROTJ battlepacks, but all they have are the clone trooper on the big ass caterpillar.

I ended up going to another TRU yesterday because of the sale hoping to either find the Cloud Car or GI Joe stuff I might want. I glance through the SW pegs and the only new stuff they had was blue carded Clone Wars. I moved to GI Joe and the epitome of what I picture as the "internet fanboy" walks over to the SW with a TRU employee. He was kind of chubby with a messy white boy afro, glasses, and a striped polo shirt. Had that dorky voice, too. The fanboy is explaining how they don't have any new figures out from Vintage, etc. They guy tells him to talk to customer service. Fanboy keeps talking and asks again for the guy to look in the back. The employee again tells the fanboy he can't look, but to talk to the customer service desk. They left and I moved over to Legos and then the video games. As I was leaving the store, I saw fanboy circling by the SW aisle again and leaving empty handed. Don't think he was a scalper, but I'm sure he would have bought everything.

I haven't seen any of the ROTJ Battle Packs on sale, either. If I do, and there's an extra, I'll grab you one. I'd like the Ewok, but not for $25.

Found another WM that had three of the IG-97 set and none of the other exclusives. I grabbed one. I have named the IG-97 "Barney," though he prefers "Barn Dawg." This is a sweet figure, and I imagine that head sculpt (which makes it so sweet) won't be re-released anytime soon, if ever.

Exchanged the HISS, too. The lady remembered a guy bringing it back. I hope that means he's banished from returning stuff, but probably not likely. Turns out there's a ceremonial Cobra staff in with the rocket launchers--dollars to donuts (or kick in the scalper nuts) that's what he wanted.

I meant the Endor pack with the rebel biker scout. But I'm probably way late on that one. In the Ewok/Luke set, I know it is a new Imperial officer. Is the Ewok different from the glider deluxe figure from way back?

Yeah, the newer Ewok is Romba, an update to one of the final vintage figures; he's based on a 2007 sculpt but has a new head and hood, and is mostly brown. The 2004 glider Ewok was a big, black, poorly articulated one; there's no confusing the two when you see them.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

I was looking last night at part of my collection, and the space I've got, which is shrinking, and the amount of stuff that's not been opened, and decided that I'm not too sure I even want the Cloud Car anymore.

And the Cloud Car Pilot and AT-AT Commander, I might be able to pass on those, too. Or maybe only if I part with some of the older figures, which I really need to do. Looking at the comparisons on the AT-AT Commander on Rebelscum, those earlier figures were shit.

Saw the pics from SDCC.

At first glance, the Gammorean guard's head looks too big. Might throw ROTJ in the DVD player this weekend.

Another Jedi Luke already?

Did any of you guys get the new C-3PO yet? His coloring looks different in every picture I've seen. I can't tell if I like it from the pictures.

Vintage Boba Fett looks cool. I'm pretty sure I ordered one back in the day because I ended up with 2 Boba Fett figures.

I assume the silver border on some of the card are some sort of chase program like they did a while back.

Is Yoda from the Prequels?

I suppose it is time for a new Ackbar. Not sure what he's holding. Hopefully it is a commtec chip.

R2 looks pretty cool.

Looks like they did a good job on the new Endor Rebel.

I might skip the Cloud Car pilot since I have 2 of the last version. And his mustache bothers me.

I like that Hoth Rebel battlepack.

New C-3PO is pretty cool. I like that he's not vac-metal and is poseable. I wish they hadn't gone with silly removable panels and gave him removable limbs instead (especially with it being an ESB figure), but I guess they need some reason to double-dip later.

The problem now, it seems to me, isn't actually Hasbro, but it's collectors who bitch and moan that Background Character Who Was Cut From The Final Movie doesn't have ball-joint articulation in his dong and insist Hasbro keep fucking re-making every goddamned stupid character.

Really, there are people who want to argue that there needed to be a goddamned Jodo Kast re-release. Who's Jodo Kast? An obscure asshole who stole a suit of Mandalorean armor in a roleplaying game from the 1980s when Lucasfilm didn't want Boba Fett to be a playable character, and the only other thing he ever did was die. He's fucking Boba Fett in green and yellow. Why is Hasbro re-releasing him? The same reason they released him in the first place: they can fucking slap some different paint on any one of the 9,743 fucking Boba Fett figures they've made.

They said in 2008 that they were barely able to squeeze him into a repaint wave because he was a repaint. They'd likely never remake him because he's too minor. And everyone forgets that and people are actually going apeshit over the fucking upcoming, overpriced K-Mart exclusive.

Can't wait for that upcoming exclusive Dengar in a tuxedo. No, wait, that wasn't sarcastic.

Screw the fan boys. At this point there only a few figures worth re-sculpting. Dr. Evazan comes to mind. Maybe Walrusman. It would take me a while to think of more. I'd rather see them finish off Cantina and Jabba's palace characters. The more I think about it, the more I'm glad they are cutting back on figures I actually want. Kind of like being weened so I can spend money on other shit I don't need.

Now if they are going to do re-paints...I kind of liked that one April Fool's joke where they re-painted several modern figures in vintage colors. I can't remember them all, but I know the Death Squad Commando and Power Droid were among them. They could throw that tall blue snaggletooth from the Kmart set in there, too.

Please tell me there an Indiana Jones in a tuxedo for a potential head swap custom.

There was.

Unfortunately, I believe it was only in the Temple of Doom wave, which was pretty much unreleased. Figures from that wave fetch as much as $80.

That sucks. It must be rare because I can't even find a picture of it. Maybe something from one of the other similar scale lines? Marvel or Iron Man?

There's been a Destro and a Cobra Commander in pinstripe suits. Unfortunately, both were Comic-Con exclusives. And are quite expensive.

Hasbro really could slap the Tomax and Xamot heads on the suited bodies and make a killing. Sometimes their lack of foresight amazes me.
