People are apparently already finding the ANH wave, or maybe I'm imagining things. I saw Han and R2-D2 from that wave, but they had the YVH-1 parts from the ROTS wave, so I passed for now. It's weird that the ROTS wave is hitting before ANH. Seems like Targets are getting more and more of the ROTS wave while TRU is getting ROTS, so maybe Walmart is getting ANH? Who knows.

I mentioned this twice elsewhere, but your card/toy show reminded me that I got about $180 worth of SW stuff at a toy show a few weeks ago. My parents read about it in the newspaper and thought it was just going to be a bunch of old stuff to look at and I decided I might as well go, but there was just so much great shit everywhere that I nearly had a damn heart attack.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

I picked up my first SW figure in ages - the new Slave Leia.
Overall, a nice figure when in the seated position.
While standing, her legs are disturbingly short. Almost dwarfish or child-like, which is even creepier since she's wearing a thong (for the sad, pathetic fanboys, I'm sure). And her plastic ass ain't even sculpted to look great.
The other minor gripe I have is with the choker and ponytail. It pretty much restricts any head movement that isn't to her left.

I picked up over the past few days the Cobra TRU set (four re-releases with slightly different paint jobs, two of which were available only in a ridiculously overpriced "sneak preview" set and look more like realistic Cobra Troopers than anything else from the movie, along with a mostly new Infiltrator Duke who seems like he's destined to become Low Light once I find a suitable head), and most of the ANH figures, concept IG-88, and concept Ki-Adi-Mundi (since Ki-Adi is one of the few true awesome characters from the prequels, and Ki-Adi with an eyepatch and suit borrowed from Mad Max is even more badass).

I picked up one of the Walmart exclusive 6 inch Iron Man figures the other night.
Comes with 3 sets of hands and a missile launcher.
Good figure, except one of his should pads falls off pretty easily.

I'd like to pick up War Machine soon.

I got the War Machine and skipped the Iron Man. He looks pregnant. I'm looking for a Mark V "suitcase" Armor.

i got both WM and Mark VI at wallymerde the other day, looking for clearanced LEGO sets that weren't there. i did, however, also find the newest LEGO iteration of luke's landspeeder that comes with luke, ben, r2, 3p0 and a sandtrooper. though a bit over-priced, it's a hot commodity as it's the first time i've ever seen it in-person and it's been perpetually on back-order at the lego online store, so i had to snatch it. it was the only one, and it was hidden behind an anakin's y-wing set.

I've seen 4 War Machines, but only one where his eyes were painted into the eyeslots and not all over his cheeks. Thats the one I bought.

Wandered into a Ross today, hoping to find some GI Joes. Grabbed the only one they had, which was a Cobra BAT. Then something else caught my eye. It was a Flash Gordon figure from the 80s movie. They didn't have any of the others.

Those are pretty damned sweet! I don't believe I've seen any.

But you say you found a BAT at Ross? I've not seen any single figures there. I'll have to start checking.

Actually, it might have been TJ Max. Still haven't found any more comic packs.

i grabbed two LEGO sets at target as they're on sale for $15 each (down from $25) - star wars set 'Echo Base' and atlantis set 'Typhoon Turbo Sub'. apparently there are a lot of walmarts putting LEGO on clearance, too, so i should check that out. and hopefully the collectible minifigures will be replenished at my local TRU.
