Have you noticed how little of Edward Norton they're showing in the commercials?
Apparently it stars Hulk and co-stars Live Tyler, with special appearance by William Hurt.

she was totally the GND in jersey girl. but perhaps that's more of an effect akin to kevin smith's uncanny ability to get the only decent performances out of ben affleck.

She played a girl next door, but still had an exotic look to her, in that movie.

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
I don't know. I thought the first trailer looked stupid, but the second trailer wasn't so bad. I'll give it a shot. But I'm not expecting it to be "Iron Man" good. However, I am expecting it to be better than the "Fantastic Four" movies and "Daredevil" at least. I have faith in Edward Norton. But if this movie ends up sucking, I won't really care. It's not like I'm really anticipating it like I am for "The Dark Knight". To me, this is just another movie. But as I said elsewhere, I'm much more excited for the video game. It's basically "Ultimate Destruction 2", which is a very good thing.

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
Judging by the new commercial it looks like the studio may have been a bit nervous about Hulk.
Talk about trying to capitalize on Iron Man's success...
Yeah, Stark's been rumored to be in there for months, just like Sam Jackson in Iron Man, but to feature him prominently him in the commercial?

Yeah, that's the thing that works better if it's a surprise.
Did you notice the humongous warning on the rating screen: "This film contains depictions of tobacco use." Much larger than things like other possibly objectionable content or even the rating itself. Now, I don't smoke, but aren't we getting to the point where the anti-smoking shit is a little out of hand?

Incredible Hulk director Louis Letterier
*sigh*“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”

I fucking hate the following lines in the TV spot that is constantly being played (same as DB posted):
"Me in a metal tube, with hundreds of people, in the most aggressive city in the world?"
"You're right, lets get a cab."
Sooo fucking cheesy and obnoxious. I will definitely be passing on the new Hulk movie.

"Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."
Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
Okay, I'm really starting to believe that the only reason they revived Hulk was to kickstart the Avengers franchise. Not that I'm complaining. As long as they get someone good for Captain America, I'm pumped for the Avengers. Hell, I'm pumped for it already with Downey Jr and Sam Jackson involved. I do think that Marvel is executing this plan the right way, though. If DC had that type of strategy, there might have been a kickass JLA movie in the pipeline.Diabolical wrote:Incredible Hulk director Louis Letterier*sigh*“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
If Warner had any fucking brains, they'd get Nolan and Singer to collaborate on a World's Finest movie starring Routh, Bale, and Spacey, along with someone who could come close to filling Ledger's shoes.

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
There was just a commercial for the Hulk on TV. One of the quotes they used was "every bit as good as Iron Man."

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
The original quote was probably:
"every bit as good as Iron Man the animated series from the late 90's/early 00's."

I remember how shitty the character designs were on that show.
