The Sopranos

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

The Sopranos

Post by Caesar »

Did anyone watch the Season 4 premiere tonight? I enjoyed it very much, but having past seasons on DVD is kinda spoiling - I don't want to wait every week for a new episode ! [wol]

Hmmm, I'm sooooooooooooooo glad they recast Fairuza Balk's FBI chick, she was alright in that one episode but since the character is gonna be around for who-knows-how-long, I like this new girl a whole lot more ![:P][:P][:P]

i watched it for the first time tonight... gotta say, i enjoyed it. i always figured i would, but i never had HBO and shit, and never really caught it, which is strange really, because palala is like, all about it. he has all the dvd's as well. i'll probably end up watching all of them in some sort of marathon session.

yeah, that new chick's hot.[se]

Yeah, the season premier was awesome. This season is gonna rock. This Sundays episode is supposed to be the shit. You are totally right about the Fairuza Balk thing. Love Fairuza, but not here. You are damn right JKR, we are doing a marathon soon. Having them on DVD is totally spoiling. You can watch one a night if you want. Goes fast, but its good.

Speaking of HBO, does anybody know when the infinitely superior Six Feet Under's second season is headed to DVD?

Im halfway through season 4 at this point. Fucking Molitsante is driving me batty, and Ralphie just has to die. They make you wait for it, same as they did for Richie Aprile - but it'll be worth it in the end. The ads with the bowling bag have me just fucking freaking right now because I've still not seen that part. Must rent discs 3 and 4 to finish it off this week. I'd love to bend Adrianna over a sofa someplace, those fake titties are the bestest.

Apparently they've gone and signed on for a 10-episode Season 6 to follow on the heels of season 5 (which will drop this march).

Steve Buscemi is going to star as a mobster getting out of jail!!!!

Tony Soprano kicks Jack Bauer's ass in 24 seconds!

Man, I love On-Demand HBO!

In preparation for the new season of Sopranos, they've made available the first couple of seasons of this, so I've finally been able to see it. And you know what? It's no Deadwood, but it's easily the second best drama on TV.

Fuck that pansy Jack Bauer. Tony would ice that motherfucker faster than you could pop in a tape of The Lost Boys, and he'd still be looking at his watch wondering how he got wacked like a bitch with 23 hours and 59 minutes to go.

Holy goddamn, these HBO series rock. Well, except for Sex and the City, which I still haven't seen the appeal of.

It's good, Chux. I've seen pretty much every episode, and came awfully close to pissing my pants on a great number of occasions.

Speaking of the Sopranos though, have you ever seen anything more hilarious than Pauly and Chrissy trying to whack that Russian mobster (season 3 I believe)? Really funny shit.

Damn, I'm only to season 2, assmuncher!! Last night I saw Janice blow Richie Abrile away, and that was as unexpected as anything else in TV history.

Sopranos I've seen all of, I was referring to Sex in the City. I'm pretty much at the point where ANYTHING with the HBO designation is good in my eyes.

I'm caught up through Season 3, and 4 should be on the old On Demand today or tomorrow. The episode with the Russian in the woods ("Pine Barrens") has to be one of the greatest episodes of anything, ever, end of story.

I read that the new season (6?) that starts in March will be the last, but will be split into two sections. Eight or nine will air this year, and the final four will air starting next January. Funny, being split apart by ten months, I'd say that's two seasons.

Don't spoil anything that happens in the next couple of seasons, but how can this end? I can only think of two possibilities. Either Tony dies, or someone very close to him (like Meadow, AJ, or Christopher) dies in a shootout in which he's seriously injured and comes to realize that he should be a normal guy. More likely the first.

mrs. vyn and i just finished season 3, as well. there's only one more, season 4 and the new one is season 5. according to her sources, the cast has signed on for two more seasons - the forthcoming 5th season, and another one after that. so it ain't over yet.

i think the whole thing could end with the FBI finally nabbing him.

I could swear that I've seen Season 5 on DVD at Wal-Mart. (I just checked amazon.com, and they've got it in stock, so this has to be Season 6 coming up.)

I could conceivably see Tony getting nabbed, but him just being thrown in jail wouldn't be a satisfactory conclusion. He'd have to have some life-changing epiphany as a result, or be nabbed just after said epiphany. Simply tossing him in the slammer would be a cop out of sorts, and it's not Stephen King or George Lucas writing this show.
